Offshore Project Proposal

Offshore Project Proposal is now open for public comment.

Amplitude Energy Ltd (formerly Cooper Energy Ltd) operates the Casino gas field, which has supplied natural gas to Australians since 2006. As production from this field declines, the activities proposed under our Offshore Project Proposal will ensure a continued supply of natural gas to southeastern Australia from our existing permit areas. Using our existing infrastructure minimises the development's environmental footprint while meeting the region's energy needs.

East Coast Supply Project- Offshore Peterborough, VIC, Otway Basin

The Offshore Project Proposal covers a range of activities, including geophysical and geotechnical surveys (excluding seismic), drilling and completing production wells, and counting these wells into existing pipeline networks. It also provides for ongoing operations such as inspections, maintenance and repair work, and decommissioning.

The public comment process

The regulator, the National Offshore Safety and Environment Management Authority, has published our draft Offshore Project Proposal on its website for public comment. The time available for public comment and details of NOPSEMA’s process can be found on their website.
