Ian Davies

Ian was appointed Non-Executive Director effective 1 August 2025 and will be appointed Chairman of the Board effective from Mr. John C Conde AO’s retirement at the Annual General Meeting on 6 November 2025. Ian is a member of the People & Remuneration Committee, the Audit Committee, the Governance & Nomination Committee and the Risk & Sustainability Committee.

Experience and expertise

As former Chair of the Australian Energy Producers (AEP) Board and Managing Director and CEO of Senex Energy, Ian is a highly distinguished and experienced industry leader. In his time at Senex Energy, Ian was instrumental in attracting investment into Australian east coast energy infrastructure to support domestic gas supply and has been a leading voice for national energy policy and market reforms.

Ian’s experience includes:

• Chief Financial Officer of Queensland Gas Company Limited (QGC) and leading the LNG joint venture transaction with BG Group and the takeover of QGC by BG Group
• General Business Development and General Manager Ports and Infrastructure under BG Group ownership
• Corporate tax advisory with PwC and investment banking with Barclays Capital in London
